Adventure Time!: Sope Creek Trails and Roswell Mill

Welcome to my third Adventure Time! Review. This month I will be talking about a little hiking.

My best friend Courtney and I recently went hiking because, nature. While we planned to originally go to Tallulah Gorge,upon calling we found out that the trail to the gorge floor was closed #majorsadface. So instead we hiked something old and something new. Sope Creek Trails is located in Marietta, Ga which was a surprise to me. This was our new. Roswell Mill is in Roswell, Ga and Courtney and I have been there plenty of times. Both locations are about twenty minutes from each other so you can knock both out in a day. While hiking, we got some fresh air, got some exercise in, and did some well-needed venting. Although hiking dates are not something we have penciled in every month, we do like to go whenever our schedules allow for it. Before I get into my review, lets look at some fun facts:

The mill was built in 1855 and was destroyed by Union troops during the Civil War.
The pond is called Sibley Pond
Atlanta Trails says “Sope Creek Park offers an extensive trail network, and numbered signposts and maps at each major trail intersection help with wayfinding through the park’s maze of trails.” This is true to a point. It’s actually very hard to navigate the maps as they have been vandalized by either some shit teenager or a serial killer looking to confuse some innocent victims.

Sope Creek was relatively easy to navigate. That was a lie. Sope Creek was a hot mess to follow without a map and the maps on the trials were vandalized. Well, we made it out, headed to the Mill, and then after chilling on a rock next to the water got a quick Krispie Kreme half dozen.

7.5/10. The wayfinding was hard resulting in us never finding the Mill. Also, the entrance is very hard to find while driving.
