Jots From My Journal - Twitter Edition

Soo... I will occassionally be pouring my most intimate thoughts... rants, my rants here. I really felt the need to voice my frustration and in a not so smart way, I started using Twitter as an online journal. Although I do not condone this, I thought it would be interesting to expand on these tweets as 280 characteres is not enough. So without further ado, here are three of my "I use Twitter as a journal" tweets that I thought I'd share with you all.

  • We really have to stop using apologies to condone our negative behaviors. Stop using "I'm sorry" like freaking bandages and learn to stop making the cuts in the first place.

    • As we grow, it should be expected that our emotional intellegence also grows. However, when that does not happen, we are stuck to defaulting to our most natural faculties. One of which is "I'm sorry". Are we? Are we really sorry? Sorry is not an excuse and it is not growth.

  • Having an opinion and constantly complaining are two different things.

    • We live in a day in age in which everyone is quick to say "well it's my opinion. you don't have to like it". It's not one's "opinions" that are the problem, its the constant negativity that one likes to shittily veils as "opinions" that are the problem. Get off the internet and into therapy.

  • I am constantly annoyed by people that think so highly of them selves that they can not take five seconds to listen to what you are saying.

    • Someone's high school P.E. teacher never told them "you are never going to be the smartest person in the room" and it shows.

And there we are! Now, before we get all "Briana is spilling her guts on her blog", these types of blogs will not be happening too often as I an just in the infancy of my journaling journey and y'all don't need to know all of my business. The ones I will post will be similar to this, just thoughts, no context. The goal here is that maybe someone can either relate to these tweets whether that be in a negative or positive manner, not to spill tea.

Before I go, I would like to say that I have gotten off of the Twitter with my rants and started writing them in a journal. There are still a few hot takes, reality tv reviews, and the occassional roasting of a corporate entity (I'm talking about you Taco Bell) on there, so if you feel so obliged, follow me at @briana_fountain.
