Cornell Notes
Mind Map Notes
There are four types of notes:
Outline Notes
Visual/ Sketch Notes
So there you have it, four ways you can take notes. Before I wrap up this blog, I couldn’t leave you without some pointers on things to remember when taking notes.
Date your notes. This can help you create a table of contents so you can easily find information
If you’re not sure whether or not to write it down, write it down. Because you’ll forget it later. Trust me.
Add headings. This will help you identify topics easily.
Highlight anything emphasized by the professor. They want you to know this. THEY WANT YOU TO KNOW THIS.
Keep A List Of Questions On Topics You Don’t Understand. This way you can go back to your textbook or professor for clarification.
Use abbreviations and symbols. This will speed up your note-taking.
Don’t worry about making it pretty. This will slow you down.
Write down anything written on a board. Because your professor wouldn’t take the time to write it if it weren’t important.
Write down anything the professor says is important. Because it’s important.
Any examples that are given. This will help with clarity later on.
