A Thousand Words Volume 4: Summer of Seven Wellbeings - Part Two
This is the part where I tell you if you have not read Part One of this blog, you might want to do so or some of this may seem odd.
The first half of my Summer of Seven Wellbeings was going well before the month of June ended, I did something that has been on my list of self-care list for forever. I went and got a massage. This helped with relaxation as it gave me time to rest my mind as well as release tension in my body. My stress rests itself in my body, and it makes my shoulders and back very tense.
The following week was the fourth of July. I spent the first half of the holiday with my family going to the Star Spangled Spectacular at my alma mater. There was fireworks, kettle corn, and a sleepy father. Also, pro-tip (amateur tip), fireworks look great when taken in Portrait Mode.
I spent the actual holiday, once again with my family, but also with my boys. My boys consist of my boyfriend, Brendan, and his three roommates Hunter, Aaron, and Carson. I spend most of my weekends with them so I felt it best to reciprocate with a barbeque. It was a lot of fun and it was nice to have some friends come into my place to chill. I also helped a friend with his dating profile and pic.
By the first weekend in July, I started driving school. For those wondering how a young lady with a full time job with salary and benefits could not have her license. Well, life. Sometimes life just gets in the way. However, it’s my time now and I am very ready to be mobile. I spent the next weekend running around town looking at motorcycles and hanging with my best friend Courtney. Courtney and I went to a place called The Sipping Plant where we planted a succulent garden and caught up with each other. This was the first time we really hung out as “adults” and it felt sophisticated.
The last week of June and the first weekend of August was spent at Stone Mountain. The first weekend was to celebrate the birthday of my boyfriend’s mother. There was mini golf, glass pumpkins, and train rides. The second weekend was to celebrate my own mother’s birthday. We started the day with a trip to Your Dekalbs Farmer’s Market and Decatur Square and ended with fireworks at Stone Mountain.
My summer ended with two epic weekends with awesome friends. The first was a trip to Pigeon forge to celebrate an engagement and a graduation. After a four hour ride through the Nantahala National Forest and the Great Smokey Mountains, we started a wine and moonshine tour. It’s safe to say that things get a little blurry from there. The rest of the trip was fun with friends.
The next weekend was a party to end the summer. It was one again full of friends and fun and lots of libations.
And with that, my summer ended. Sad Face, However, with my favorite season coming up, I can not wait to share more adventures with you!!
Thanks for reading. Until next time!!!
