How To Throw The Best Friendsgiving

  • Don’t invite more than you can fit.

    • It’s okay to want to invite every friend you have, but your budget and apartment square footage may not be able to accommodate all of your friends. If you do want everyone there, maybe change friendsgiving to another place that can.

  • Choose the people you want to spend time with.

    • This isn’t the time for that one colleague that you kinda know. Close friends only, especially when there is liquor involved

  • Decide on the format.

    • Is it going to be very formal, casual, BYOB?

  • Try to stay organized.

    • Keep a running list of guest, decor, rsvps, etd.

  • Don’t forget the booze.

    • But also because it livens up the night

  • Play a drinking game.

    • Because alcoholism is American culture

  • The host makes the turkey.

    • This is because it is the main dish. That’s just dinner party etiquette.

  • The host coordinates a potluck of every other dish.

    • Because you don’t want 3 batches of mac n cheese and no mashed potatoes. It’ll ruin the whole mood.

  • The host will ensure that there are some vegetarian, vegan, or allergy-conscious options if any guests require them.

    • Because not everyone is super into protein and some of your friends may be on a diet

  • Set the atmosphere with the playlist.

    • Christmas music is always a good go to, but if you need help,

    • Spotify has your back.
