The Five Love Languages and What They Mean
Love Languages... So the idea of love languages was developed into a book by a man named Gary Chapman. Essentially after taking a brief test, you will be given a Love Language. If you are not aware of what love languages are, they are the way in which you receive affection. This becomes important in relationships because if you know how you like to be loved and how your partner likes to be loved, then you can tailor your affections towards each other in a more effective way.
So what are the love languages?
Quality Time: Quality Time also means sharing quality conversation and quality activities.
Words of Affirmation: Actions don't always speak louder than words. If this is your love language, unsolicited compliments mean the world to you.
Acts of Service: Finding ways to serve speaks volumes to the recipient of these acts.
Receiving Gifts: Gifts are visual representations of love and are treasured greatly.
Physical Touch: Physical touch fosters a sense of security and belonging in any relationship.
If you need an example of what this means, then I am going to use an age old meme found around social media.
Quality Time: Let’s go get tacos together.
Words of Affirmation: Your tacos are delicious
Acts of Service: I made you tacos
Receiving Gifts: Here’s a taco
Physical Touch: Let me hold you like a taco.
