I Ranked Different Milks So You Don't Have To!

Alright, So here’s the thing. I was NEVER a fan of cow’s milk. It made me uncomfortable full, nauseous, and gassy. When alternative milks started hitting the market I was super excited I could be reintroduced to my favorite foods that have milk in it (think cereal). In the past two or three years, the alternative milk industry has boomed leading to more and more options for non-lactose drinkers. Because I am an inquisitive individual, I tried 7 different milks and these are how they held up.

Hazelnut Milk

By far, my favorite milk is Hazelnut Milk. Its taste is AMAZING!!! The texture is smooth. The only problem is that it is naturally sweet so it’s odd in savory dishes.

Coconut Milk

#5 is Coconut Milk. Coconut milk to me is an acquired taste. It is one I have not acquired. It can be a bit liquidy. I’m not really a fan, but it’s not the worst. I also have never cooked with it, but it was good in cereal.

Cow’s Milk

Runner up for worst milk is Cow’s Milk. It makes me uncomfortable full, nauseous, and gassy. I am not a fan of the taste. I do not like the consistency. However, the proteins in milk are what makes it the best to cook with.
