Black Friday was originally coined in the 1950s by police in Philadelphia to describe the traffic in the city during shopping hours the day after Thanksgiving. Three decades later, merchants began using the term to describe the day in which accounting books go from red to black, meaning company’s are making a profit. Now, in 2019, it is the official start of the Christmas shopping season. On this day, most retailers have deeply discounted item for sale. So what should you be doing on the upcoming Black Friday?
Look online at the ads early.

Write a list of your needs, wants, and desires.
Needs serve a functional purpose.
Wants serve as a physical benefit
Desires serve our emotional satisfaction
With this list, you can prioritize your budget to maximize what is necessary
Speaking of budgets, have one
Don’t just go around wiping your cards everywhere especially if that card is a credit card.
Have a plan for shopping
Know what you are getting from which store and try to park in places where you can go to one than more store at once.
When everything is done, get a nice cup of cocoa
