Study Tips For College Students

  1. Take Good Notes

    • The better your notes are from class, the less you have to try and recall information from lectures.

  2. Find a Routine

    • Don’t just study the night before an exam, find a good study routine where you recall information regularly.

  3. Study with Friends

    • They will be able to better explain something to you and vice versa.

  4. Ask for Help!

    • There is nothing wrong with a tutor. At the end of the day, it’s about learning and ultimately passing your class.

  5. Mix Up Your Study Spots

    • If you feel yourself begin to get distracted by where you are at, it is time to find a new study spot.

  6. Study Smarter, Not Harder

    • High School should've given you a good idea of how you like to study. Work with that and enhance it by 10.

  7. Take Breaks

    • You don’t want to burn out because then you will slowly stop learning information

  8. Don’t Cram

    • STOP CRAMMING. You may be able to pass the test the next day, but for long term recollection. You’ll do yourself a disservice.

  9. Don’t Over-Study

    • This will prevent you from mixing up information and overthinking

  10. Start small.

    • Start with the information you already have a good handle on and go from there.

  11. Get enough sleep

    • Sleep and rest not only heal your body, but it heals your brain.
