Grad School MArch vs Any other Masters. #sendhelp

Sooooo…..  Grad School. I have been thinking about it since before finishing my undergrad, and now that my boyfriend has gotten his masters, its been weighing on me more and more. But the question is, should I go back for my Masters in Architecture, or should I broaden my horizons and seek another major for a Masters degree?

Well, here’s my hot take. DON’T GET AN M.ARCH IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A PROFESSIONAL DEGREE… Why do I say this? Well, I did a little research and by research I googled “Is it smart to get a graduate degree in Architecture?” and after reading through a few forums, an M.Arch may not be necessary to have a succeed in my career. And I already knew this… I already have a professional degree which means that after I log all of my practicing hours and six exams, then I can officially call myself an Architect.

Well that was easy, butttt I am not 100% set on not pursuing another degree. To be honest, I don’t know what the hell I am doing or where to go from here. I really have an interest in branding and marketing. I still love architecture and interior design. My end goal is is to teach and work as a branded environment specialist or something like that. Does that mean I get a M.Arch with a thesis based in using marketing tactics to advance Branded Environments or a Masters in Marketing with a thesis in branded environments…

All in all, I need a mentor… Someone to talk through all of this craziness with.
